Do you have to be a Distributel client to be a moderator when using the teleconferencing services?
Yes. Only Distributel clients can moderate Distributel Teleconferencing services, otherwise anyone provided with an access code can participate. To learn more, please contact one of our representatives at: 1-877-833-5050.
How are teleconferencing services billed?
The billing is established in minutes per each participant. Three levels of pricing exist: local, long-distance, and international. The first two are fixed rates based on the volume of calls, whereas international calls are billed according to a list of regularly updated rates.
What is a moderator or guest code?
Assigned by a Distributel representative, the moderator code identifies moderators in our system and allows them organize conferences without a reservation. The guest code is assigned by the moderator to those invited to the conference, enabling them to participate.
How do you participate in a conference?
At the scheduled time, the moderator and the guests simply need to dial the local access number for their area or the toll free number (1-800) provided beforehand by the moderator. Everyone must then enter their guest/moderator code to join the conference.
