We are very pleased to state that on Sunday August 26th 2012, Distributel participated in one of the largest events in Ottawa; the Capital Pride Parade. Since Ottawa's first Pride celebration in 1986, the world has evolved but there is still work to be done and accomplishments to celebrate. Every year, a hugely diverse number of people hit the streets with their rainbows and bright colors to show their support for the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) community. This year was our turn to do the same!

We’re pleased to announce that our Internet speeds in Ontario are increasing while our prices are not. As of March 12th, customers who have the 12 Mbps Internet service could experience a speed upgrade of up to 18 Mbps and those with the 24 Mbps plan will experience an upgrade to 28 Mbps, which represents an increase in speed of approximately 20%.

Distributel Communications is pleased to announce that effective February 1, 2012, it will introduce new low-cost unlimited plans for Internet users in Quebec and reduce overage charges on its existing plans by more than 60%. Base rates for existing plans will stay at their current low levels. One of the largest independent Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in the province, Distributel is bucking the industry trend by absorbing bandwidth costs as a November 15th CRTC Decision comes into effect.
